The Member Plant Giveaway is back! The legacy of Morris Arboretum & Garden’s plant distribution tradition started nearly 100 years ago in the will of Lydia Morris. In addition to distributing plants to other public gardens, the Morris has maintained Lydia’s wish of sharing plants with members, continuing again this May with you! This year will be a true botanical bonanza celebrating the love of plants and gardening. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or planning to dig in for the first time, our experienced staff will be onsite with suggestions for everyone. All members are welcome to attend the Plant Giveaway on Saturday, May 20, and Sunday, May 21, from 9 am – 1 pm. Individual, Dual, Family, Beech, and Chestnut Memberships qualify for one Giveaway Plant per Membership Household. Holly Memberships and above qualify for two Giveaway Plants per Membership Household.

Premier Members are invited for early access on Friday, May 19, from 4 – 7pm! Not a Premier Member? Consider upgrading today and strengthen the Morris Arboretum & gardens with a Beech, Chestnut, Holly, Oak, Laurel or Collectors Circle membership.

Message from the Greenhouse: "In the spirit of celebrating natural lands and the role we play in stewarding native ecosystems, the Morris is excited to offer several PA native perennials and shrubs this year. These plants will be a phenomenal addition to your garden while also serving local ecosystem functions. To continue the fundamental tradition of plant exploration and discovery at the Morris Arboretum & Gardens, we will also offer several beloved stunner exotic shrubs from the collection. There will be many new-to-you plants that would be ideal picks for the adventurous gardener wanting to try something unusual or push a hardiness limit. And of course, we will have beautiful flowers, some deer resistant with lower water needs, that will be great choices for anyone." - Kyra Matin, Propagator at Morris Arboretum
